As we prepare for a new year, the Currier Museum is hosting events that unite its exhibitions with special events from local community members. On December 26th and December 30th at 10:30 am, we invite you to our meditation series with Rosie Latona of White Swan Yoga.

We will meditate for 20 minutes in front of an artwork that implicitly or explicitly enhances the investigation of the following two topics:

December 26:  impermanence [imˈpərmənəns] noun – the state or fact of lasting for only a limited period of time.
Frank Stella, Sinjerli, Variation I

December 30: gratitude [ˈɡradəˌt(y)o͞od] noun  – the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
Roberto Lugo, Afro-Puertoricans: Family

Upon conclusion of meditations, participants are invited to stay for a brief and informal Looking Together exercise on the highlighted work of art.

The meditation series is free with museum general admission.
