Join us for a day of mindful yoga, meditation, discussion, and art-making in exhibition "Toward the New: A Journey into Abstraction"

Join us at the Currier Museum of Art for the second installment in a new series of one-day retreats focused on the embodiment of well-being, connecting the practice of yoga with the energy of art. 

Breathe in the vibrant hues of artistic expression at Breathing Color, a yoga retreat inspired by the current exhibition Toward the New: A Journey into Abstraction with White Swan Yoga and Hamsa Yoga Living. This retreat invites participants to explore the profound simplicity of the breath and artistic elements such as line, color, and texture. Drawing parallels to the bold yet grounded approach of the showcased artists, Breathing Color integrates yoga, meditation, and art activities to create a harmonious environment for self-discovery and unity with others.

9 am Welcome + Registration
9:30 to 11 am Mindful movement yoga for all levels
with Rosie Latona White Swan Yoga Studio and Hamsa Yoga Living
11 to 11:15 am Break
11:15 am to noon Exhibition viewing and Art of Awareness session
Noon Lunch provided by The Green Beautiful Café 
12:30 to 1 pm Facilitator-led discussion
1 to 2 pm Chakra-inspired art-making

All are welcome; previous experience with yoga, meditation or art is not expected nor required. Each retreat visually highlights and physically integrates a focus area inspired by a Currier Museum special exhibition.

What to Bring 

Please dress comfortably, in flexible, breathable clothing. Layers are always a good idea. Please bring your own yoga mat, a thin blanket, and a water bottle. You can also bring any other items you like to use for yoga/meditation practice, such as yoga blocks, a meditation cushion, etc. Chairs will also be available for meditation.
