Join us at the first Art Off the Walls on February 20
It’s the museum at night – in a new light. Our new Art Off the Walls evening event series will bring you fresh experiences centered around art on the third Thursday of every month.
On Thursday, February 20, join us for our first Art Off the Walls event, with a special program inspired by Black History Month and the closing of the Jean-Michel Basquiat and Ouattara Watts joint exhibition. Gallerist Bill Stelling will give a talk about the 1980’s New York City art world, drawing on his personal experience championing early graffiti artists as co-founder of the Fun Gallery in East Village.
The event takes place from 5 to 8 pm. Additional highlights include:
– Free admission, though donations are encouraged
– Throwback hits from local band Pickleback Jack
– Curated refreshments for purchase in the Winter Garden café
– Open galleries
– A lively and inspired environment
Then, look forward to more. Third Thursdays will soon be your favorite day of the month, offering an evening invitation to immerse yourself in something new at the Currier.
