Looking to learn or expand on your drawing and painting skills and connect with other local Veterans? This low-stress, artistically driven environment is perfect for learning and exploring the fundamental techniques in drawing and painting. The mission is to enjoy, have fun, and create works of art based on projects suggested and mentored by the instructor. The warm atmosphere is one of low pressure yet designed to challenge and nurture the creative spirit. All materials provided.

Mosaic Abstractions with Nikki Sullivan

January 16, 23, 30, February 6, and 13

10:30 am to 12:30 pm

Bring the ancient art of mosaic into the modern age with League of New Hampshire Craftsmen artist, Nikki Sullivan! In this class, students will focus on color, shape and space, using tile to design and build their own exciting abstract composition. Learn more about this amazing craft and then design, create and finish an 8×10 wall mosaic of your very own using colorful tiles and glass. Materials and tools provided for use during class time.

Mixed Media Memoir with Kate Hanlon (online)

Online six-week class

Tuesdays

January 28, February 4, 11, 18, 25, and March 4

10 am to noon

We all have family stories and world experiences that have shaped our personal histories. Journaling gives us an opportunity to reflect and record these narratives. This online class will explore the art and craft of visual storytelling, using a range of mixed-media techniques including drawing, painting, collage, and embroidery to fill a sketchbook journal and bring these stories to life. Class is conducted in real time (EST), scheduled through Zoom. A link will be provided prior to the first class.
