Focusing on the landscape, this workshop will help participants learn to use watercolors to achieve a sense of light and fluidity within a painting. Join artist and educator, John O’Shaughnessy, as he demonstrates various techniques using artwork from the Currier collection and beyond as inspiration. Gouache, an opaque, matte water-media paint will be introduced, and students will learn how to incorporate it with traditional watercolors to achieve different effects and color intensity. All materials are provided for use during class time. Best for students with some watercolor painting experience.
