Mixing Magic: Color Lab

In this three-day workshop, students will learn how artists throughout time have brought myths, legends, and epic adventures to life through their artwork. In this workshop, students will explore the beauty of the natural world through the eyes of artists like Arthur Dove, Hans Hofmann, and Jasper Cropsey. Over three creative days, students will dream up imaginative structures, design with nature in mind, and build their own mini architectural masterpieces. Sun Prints: Exploring Cyanotype Photography with Michelle Peterson
Dates: Saturday, July 18

Step away from the digital world and discover the magic of one of photography’s earliest processes! Inspired by the exhibition, Together, Apart, Away: Snapshots from the Peter J. Cohen Collection, participants will have fun creating striking prints using sunlight, natural objects, and simple photographic techniques. No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided.

Drawing and Painting the Natural World with

Slow down, take a closer look, and sharpen your powers of observation in this immersive workshop, focused on the natural world and landscape. Working with a variety of drawing media and watercolor, participants will explore line, light, color, perspective, and composition while drawing inspiration from the museum’s collection and upcoming exhibitions.
