COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Currier Museum of Art does not collect personal information about individuals, such as names and mailing or email addresses, unless the user knowingly provides it. Some pages throughout the site may request specific information submitted by a form or email. Information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc. will only be used by the Currier to respond to inquiries, or for specific Currier marketing activities, events or services.
“Cookies” are small files of information that are stored by your Web browser on your computer’s hard drive. The cookies we use do not contain any personal information. Most Web browsers do accept cookies, but you can change your Web browser to not accept them.
PLACING AN ORDER
When you supply your address you may receive correspondence or email promotions. We will not share your address with anyone. All other information provided when ordering is used solely for billing purposes and to fulfill your order. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information may be used in order to contact you. We will not call you regarding promotions.
When you purchase a Currier membership online, we will ask you to provide us with the information we need in order to process your membership and to acknowledge your contribution. Your information will only be used as needed to process your transaction.
SURVEYS & CONTESTS
Occasionally, the Currier requests information from visitors through the use of surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the customer therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of improving the museum experience and the usability of this site.
The Currier offers website visitors the opportunity to subscribe to our e-mail updates and e-newsletter which may include promotional e-mails. Users who no longer wish to receive promotional materials from us may opt-out by clicking the link at the bottom of any e-mail received.
CHILDREN 12 AND UNDER
The Currier does not solicit personal information from children. Visitors 12 years of age and under should remember that they are required to obtain an adult’s permission before submitting any personal information to this, or any other, website.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
The Currier Museum of Art will not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We may compile statistics about our visitors, customers, sales, traffic patterns, or related data, but these statistics will not include any personal identifying information.
The Currier Museum of Art uses industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to secure its sites. SSL encodes your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, as it travels over the Internet.
