Art for Vets Family Day October 17, 2020, 12 to 5 pm
Explore, create, and enjoy!
The Currier Museum of Art will host an art making workshop for veterans and military families on the third Saturday of every month. We will offer three afternoon sessions where families can enjoy looking at art, making art, and a complementary lunch.
The program will require preregistration for tickets on the Currier’s website. Timed tickets will allow for admission an hour before the registered art making workshop. For everyone’s safety, capacity will be limited to four families per session. In between each session, the area and all art supplies will be fully cleaned and sanitized before the next group arrives. Families will be invited to enjoy the museum or a complementary lunch before or after their art making session
Please register for one art-making session per family:
1:00 pm – 1:40 pm
2:00 pm – 2:40 pm
3:00 pm – 3:40 pm
Participants will be emailed their museum admission timed ticket. When you arrive at the museum, please check in at the guest services desk in the lobby. Proof of veteran or active duty status to be provided at check in.
Our October art making session will be hosted outside, weather permitting. For our inaugural program we will be making art based on our new exhibition Whispering Quilts by Richard Haynes.
Based on guidelines provided by the state and in accordance with the VA’s policies the program may become virtual based on the status of COVID-19.
