Tapestry Weaving Basics with Lisa Almeida : adults
The Currier Museum of Art is excited to partner with the League of NH Craftsmen to offer a series of one-of-a-kind introductory experiences from local Master Craft artists. Each workshop in the series will feature a different project that will serve as an introduction to fine craft as a valuable human expression.
Saturday, December 16
10:30 am to 3:30 pm
In this workshop, students will create images with fiber using a simple tapestry loom. Join us as we weave a tiny tapestry from start to finish, and learn more about this decorative, functional and expressive art form!
This workshop will include an additional materials fee of $40 paid directly to the instructor on the day of the workshop. Materials include a wooden tapestry lap loom with accessories (beater comb, shuttle stick & tapestry needles) – all of which you will keep and enough cotton warp and wool to complete the class project and another like it at home.
