This 5-week class series will explore concepts and strategies for transforming ordinary images into extraordinary paintings.  Working from reference photos, students will complete preliminary value studies and work on pastel paintings, focusing on value and composition.  The class will include instructor demonstrations, one-on-one interaction, critiques, and plenty of hands-on time to apply what is learned. Designed for beginning pastel students who have drawing experience but differentiated for all levels. Class is conducted in real time (EST), scheduled through Zoom. Link will be provided prior to first class.
