Come celebrate The Paris of Toulouse-Lautrec during these FREE extended late night hours. Inspired by the artist circles that attracted and inspired Lautrec, the Currier features a night of local talent. Theatre KAPOW will perform one act farces, Creative Writing students from NH Institute of Art will provide readings inspired by the exhibition and artist and NHIA Professor, Bill Cass, will demonstrate printmaking techniques similar to the ones used by Toulouse-Lautrec. Start your holiday shopping early with this special fair hosted by the Currier Museum Shop. Regional artisans not typically represented in the Shop will sell handmade crafts throughout the Museum. Come celebrate The Paris of Toulouse-Lautrec during these FREE extended late night hours. Enjoy a showing of French Cancan, a 1955 French musical. Written and directed by Jean Renoir, it is a technicolor masterpiece known for its beautiful dance numbers. The movie is centered on the formation of the Moulin Rouge, Lautrec’s favorite nightclub. Each film portrays the spectacle of cafés and cabarets, dancers and dwellers who populate the slopes of the "Mount of the Martyr" at the end of the nineteenth century.
