Join us for the launch of our new Side Door Music Series on Friday, October 13, which brings talented musicians from across the globe to the Currier Museum of Art. The series will kick off with the stellar talent of Heather Maloney, a Massachusetts-based singer-songwriter named “Artist to Watch” by Spin Magazine, who will intrigue you with her unique sound. Ms. Maloney is a dynamic and intensely creative Americana singer-songwriter. Her lyrics can stand alone as beautiful poetry, and yet, combined with her vocals and guitar, elevate to something wholly magical. On stage, Ms. Maloney performs with engaging humility, humor and poise. In this inaugural performance of the Side Door Music Series, Ms. Maloney will be supported by Ryan Hommel on vocals and guitar.
Also enjoy opening act Hannah & Maggie. They are an award-winning folk-pop duo from NYC/Northampton, MA. Commended as “the blue-eyed soul of folk” and “a flawless continuation of the singer-songwriter tradition,” they’re most often compared to The Indigo Girls and Simon & Garfunkel. They just released their fourth studio album ‘Oh No’ on May 19th to a rapidly growing and spectacularly enthusiastic fan base.
Special entrance and check-in for the show via the side door on Beech Street. A cash snack and cocktail bar will be available on the lower level of the museum adjacent to the auditorium.
