Ages: 5-14 yrs.
Morning Session: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Dates: February 26 to March 2
Description: Who are your heroes? Are they your parents, your friends, your neighbors, your pets, artists that you admire – or maybe just someone in your imagination? This week we’ll be inspired by the master sculptor and artist Augustus Saint-Gaudens and other sculptors in the Currier’s collection. We’ll create images on gold coins, immortalize your heroes by recreating them in 2 and 3-dimensions, create balance challenge sculptures, and work with your teacher to create plaster molds so that some pieces of your artwork can be made over and over again!
Week-long vacation day camps are popular with families of children seeking an enrichment experience while school is out of session. All camps include supplies and an inspirational tour of the museum. Pack a snack to have during morning break.Register
