MORNING SESSION: ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS! (5-14 YRS. /9 A.M. – NOON)
It’s a game – it settles arguments – it’s a great title for an Art Camp because …
Using clay, paper, scissors and paint you’ll have a blast making art this week! You’ll sculpt fantastic creatures, imagine and illustrate amazing tales, and design bold cut-paper graphics and masks using the myths and legends of Iceland, Scandinavia and our own native peoples of the North!
AFTERNOON SESSION: CLAY, PENCILS, PAINT! (5-14 YRS. / 1-4 P.M.)
How about going south for winter vacation? We mean really far south! From the region of Patagonia to the country of Peru – from Australia and New Zealand to South Africa and the island of Madagascar you’ll find exotic animals, plants and cultures to inspire you. You’ll draw, paint or sculpt “beings” such as the Patagonian horse, the Chilean Flamingo, the Ringtail Lemur and the cat-like Fossa. And using “quilling” and other cut-paper techniques, you’ll create environments where butterflies and scarab beetles thrive, and plants such as the Comet Orchid, the Dracula plant and Baobab trees flourish!!
This camp runs 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. February 27th – March 3rd. Bring a lunch and a snack!
After Camp Care is available from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m for an additional $30.REGISTER
