Celebrate the sculpture of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the most important American sculptor of the late 19th and early 20th century. The night will explore his art and legacy which can be seen in cities throughout America and even in your wallet. Dr. Henry Duffy, curator at Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site in Cornish NH will be available for conversation in the galleries. Additionally, An Introduction to the Life and Work of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, a short film by National Historic Site, will provide a deeper understanding of the process. You can also join short focus tours or an Art Center faculty member in drawing in the galleries. You can also enjoy live music that Saint-Gaudens himself listened to.
